You will find the beautiful Bhimeshwara Swami temple, situated in the Draksharamam, which is in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. Then in the 11th century, the temple was rebuilt by Bhima, the Chalukyan king, with marble stones. The Presiding Deity

Some More Information About The Idol
The temple is two storied, and the worship is offered on the first floor. People cross the 9 feet long flight steps, to have a look at the top of the Linga. The specialty of the idol of the deity is, the first sunlight falls on it. The god is made of crystal, but it has black stripes on its top. People say that it is the mark of the tiger skin worn by God Shiva when he disguised himself as a hunter.

People pay a visit to this temple, on Shivaratri, although the Masa Shivaratri Kumkuma Puja is done by the purohits, every month. The women offer cow milk on those days. You can be physically present at the temple and get your puja done, or you can take help from the internet if you do not have the option to be present at the time of the puja. And for routine visit, people carry flowers and sweets with them and offer it to Lord Shiva. All you need is pure faith in your heart, and you will get his blessings.

The worship conducted here is purely based on the Shiva puja. People pay to visit on every Shivaratri. The temple gets most devotees in the month of Karthik, and Margashira Chaturdashi. Kalyanam is one of the main festivals in this temple.
The main festival that is celebrated in this temple is the Maha Shivaratri festival. On the 28th day of the month of Magha, this festival is observed. The process of worship includes fasting all the day. Women go through this so that they can get blessings of marrying a man like Lord Shiva.
