P Jayaraman is an expert in Indian history and culture - he has spent 18 year of his life researching the same. He is also proficient in Sanskrit, Hindi and Tamil. The author has published several books on these subjects including Bhakti Ek Ayaam, Sant Vani, A Course In Hindi and 8 volumes of Sant Vani- Nalayira Divya Prabandham. For 16 years Jayaraman worked in the Reserve Bank of India. Later, in 1980, he moved to America, where in New York he spread the knowledge of Indian culture, traditions, languages and history to the Americans. Jayaraman holds an MA degree in Sanskrit and Hindi. He is the proud recipient of the Padma Shri (2009) and Pravasi Bharatiya Samman (2007) awards.

The writer hang together that there are several things in India that prove this, one among them bhakti being vaishnava. The  vaishnava bhakti, along  elevated texts like Bhagavad Gita Padma Purana, Vishnu Purana and Shrimad Bhagwat arise in the north of India that then moved southwards where it became famous as Manimekhala in Tamil Nadu, along the efforts of the paravati Gurus, this same vaishnava bhakti then travelled from the south up to Brindavan in the north making its presence felt through the length and breadth of India.
